ANDREW MALONE

Andrew Malone is the President and founder of Asgard Associates, Inc.  He began his career in construction and project management, working for URS Corporation with the Chicago Department of Transportation to revitalize the Chicago “El” rail system.  Most recently, he spent over three years with Bovis Lend Lease, coordinating the construction of condo towers in Manhattan.

At Bovis he worked on five projects all located on the upper west side in Manhattan.  He was responsible as project manager during all phases of construction for two condo towers including demolition, budgeting, bidding and awards, scheduling and contract supervision.  In addition to his ground-up experience, he coordinated the conversion and renovation of a retail storefront to a residential real estate sales office.  He also handled the completion of one additional condo tower and ground floor retail space plus an associated six-story brownstone building.

In his current position as President, his primary responsibility is overseeing the growth of the Asgard Associates real estate portfolio and consulting business.  He is actively involved in the Congress for the New Urbanism, and a member of several other professional organizations including the US Green Building Council, and the Institute for Classical Architecture and Classical America.

Asgard Associate's mission is to create regions of lasting economic and social vitality for public benefit and private gain through education, assistance, adaptive re-use and contextual infill for local real estate and businesses. The company has recently partnered with an investment group called Anglestone Realty Acquisitions, where Mr. Malone will be serving as Director of Design and Development for operations within a specific Brooklyn neighborhood and with Asgard Associates as consulting and development partner.

As a member of the CNU, he is currently serving as co-chairman for the Next Generation of New Urbanists, a group of young professionals and students who plan a yearly day-long conference and work on several initiatives throughout the year. He has been a member since 2003.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and has since lived in Chicago and now New York City.  He is a certified LEED Accredited Professional and has a passion for timeless and environmentally sustainable architecture and urban design.
